Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

About the role

Alzheimer’s Society Merton is based in a new, purpose-built hub in Mitcham. We provide advice and support throughout our client’s journey with dementia. Providing services specifically for carers also forms an integral part of our work.

The Dementia Support Manager role involves managing a team of skilled and experienced Dementia Support Workers and Volunteers. This includes recruitment, development and management of a team of staff operating within the service. You will support them and ensure we offer an excellent service, meeting contract requirements set by our funders.

About you

This is an exciting time to work in Merton and Wandsworth. You will be innovative and relish the challenges working collaboratively to deliver services in this part of South London. So, if you are a good communicator and are looking for a post where you can use your organising and time management skills, you have an understanding of dementia and have experience of managing staff and leading a team, we would like to hear from you.

*Alzheimer’s Society is going through a period of substantial change. The postholder will be subject to consultation and change while we introduce our new Dementia Connect model. Therefore the post is fixed term until 31 March 2020
