Alzheimer's Society Merton is looking for a new team member to organise and run enjoyable and engaging activities for people affected by dementia. This role will join a supportive and committed team who work collectively to make a positive difference to individuals, families and carers affected by dementia.  

About the role

  • Create, organise and run activities such as singing, arts and crafts, music or movies (and anything else in between!)
  • Promote the activities, inviting individuals, families and carers to events, welcoming new people and making them feel at ease.
  • Run sessions with staff and volunteers who really love getting involved!
  • Take feedback regarding the events and strive to make them better and better each time.
  • You will also be responsible for recording information and other administrative duties so you will need to know your way around a computer!

About you

  • You are enthusiastic empathetic and considerate to all audiences. 
  • A personable and engaging communicator.
  • Previous experience of organising and running activities.
  • Experience of supporting individuals and families.

About the location

The team is based in purpose built, modern Merton Dementia Hub, Mitcham.

The building has lots of space and a bright environment.

It has a garden, courtyard, and free parking.
