About the role

The Alzheimer's Society is currently looking for a new Internal Communications and Engagement (ICE) Officer to join our growing ICE team. We’re looking for someone to help us establish our new Microsoft 365 intranet so significant experience of Microsoft 365 tools and managing modern SharePoint is absolutely essential.

This is an entirely hands-on role, helping us meet our objectives at pace. You will be helping our other Communications Officers and our network of content publishers to use our new intranet. You’ll be playing a key role in migrating and modernising content and help us make sure we get the best use from our new platform to inform and engage our employees and volunteers. You’ll also be developing in-house training materials to support our content publishers and users.

Please note this is a fixed term contract until March 2022. This role is home-based and can be located anywhere in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

You’ll work closely with great colleagues in our internal communication and engagement team, and with people at every level across the Society: we’re committed to being better together. You’ll be regarded as a trusted expert in the advice you give and the practical steps you take.

You’ll be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver. You’ll take pride in a thorough and methodical approach, with consistently strong attention to detail. Excellent written communication skills, particularly in writing for digital channels, will be important.
