About the role
Bristol Dementia Partnership is a joint venture between Alzheimer’s Society and Devon Partnership NHS Trust, providing the Dementia Wellbeing Service across Bristol. This is a service that supports people living with dementia to remain as well as possible, for as long as possible, in their own community.
We are looking for a Community Development Coordinator to work within the Dementia Wellbeing Service based in our South Hub in Bristol.
This role requires a person with excellent people and interpersonal skills, who is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion.
You will be responsible for building connections with key members of the community and other professions as well as finding creative ways to reach isolated groups and promote dementia friendly communities.
You will increase awareness of the Dementia Wellbeing Service in those groups that find our services hard to access. You will build relationships with local community and religious groups, businesses and organisations, be involved in working with GPs and the wider community of Bristol.
