About the role

We’re looking for a social media expert to join our amazing Digital team for a 6-8 month period, at a crucial and exciting time for our work.

In spring-summer 2020, we’ll be launching a new strategic approach towards social media at Alzheimer’s Society – the successful candidate will be integral to this important work, carrying out launch workshops and presentations about best practice, and inspiring colleagues from across the organisation to become more confident in their use of social.

You’ll also manage a talented and enthusiastic social media team, working with them to carry out daily content creation and customer service, while collaborating on a regular basis with other stakeholders and external agencies alike.

About you

You’ll have significant experience of leading on social media at a large and complex organisation, with a thorough understanding of advanced strategies and best practice.

You’ll have a hands-on talent for customer service, content creation, and analytics, with an in-depth knowledge of the relevant tools.

Crucially, you’ll be able to inspire and influence colleagues, demonstrating excellent communication skills and an ability to get across the value of social media to stakeholders in a variety of roles.

Above all, you’ll be passionate yourself about how social media can benefit our organisational goals, build relationships with supporters, and provide help to people affected by dementia – you’ll lead by example, and take an active role in making change happen.
