About the role

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Events Fundraising Officer who will play a key role in the delivery of the Memory Walk & Glow programmes. You will: 

  • Deliver the organisation’s flagship event programmes, Memory Walk, & Glow which includes the recruitment, event delivery and stewardship of our supporters. 
  • Plan, organise and manage a number of mass participation events, from event conception to on the day delivery.
  • Lead on the delivery of Memory Walk & Glow project areas, including marketing, stewardship, volunteering and internal comms.
  • Provide the best possible event experience, to increase sign-ups and income, to ultimately support more people affected by dementia. 
  • Be part of our award-winning Memory Walk team, which sits within our events team as part of the wider fundraising directorate.

About you
We are looking for someone with a background in event delivery, and experience in managing mass participation events. You will be; 

  • Enthusiastic, creative, highly organised and a good negotiator. 
  • Experienced working across a variety of projects and be able to prioritise your workload effectively. 
  • A strong relationship builder, both internally and externally, and an excellent communicator. 
  • Comfortable in recruiting and managing volunteers within an events environment.
