About the role
As a Dementia Connect Local Services Manager you will provide local operational leadership and management of local services in the South and Mid Wales area supporting the Area Manager to deliver Alzheimer’s Society’s New Deal on Dementia Strategy. You will lead the local delivery of our new and innovative Dementia Connect service, ensuring that the service is high quality, person-centred, safe and people affected by dementia are at the heart of service delivery.
The Dementia Connect Local Services Manager will report to the Area Manager and will be a member of the Area Management Team. They will line manage Dementia Advisers, Side by Side (SBS) Coordinators and other roles as locally appropriate.

As a Dementia Connect Local Services Manager you will be someone who can demonstrate the ability to influence and manage relationships with external stakeholders to take forward our new dementia connect service. We are looking for someone who has experience in influencing key roles in the Health and Social Care sector in order to ensure we are the go to provider for dementia services and deliver quality services in line with our wider strategic needs.
You will have experience as a great people manager, having led teams to enable them to deliver high performance outcomes and work collaboratively to provide an excellent service. We want someone who role models our values and behaviours in all they do, who can working effectively with internal teams to achieve mutual outcomes. You should have experience of successfully managing change from start to end and will need to be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.

You will need to have NVQ level 4 or equivalent qualifications and experience in the Health and Social Care sector.
