Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

In September 2019 Alzheimer’s Society, Dorset ‘Memory Support and Advisory Service (MSAS)’ secured a further year to their existing contract. MSAS has been providing a contract since 2014, which is funded by the local Clinical Commissioning Group. There will be a possibility to tender for a further contract lasting 5 years in 2020. The Memory Support and Advisory Service guides people through the diagnosis process and provides them with post-diagnosis support.

We are looking for a person to provide a highly responsive, individualised information and signposting service to people who have concerns about their memory or with a diagnosis of dementia as the first priority for the service.

You will possess an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), have good time management, communication and IT skills and be able to represent the needs of the organisation and clients externally.
