We are searching for special kind of individual for our fantastic opportunity! We are looking for someone who is an outstanding relationship builder and can see connections through for the long term, based on integrity, trust and supplying expert advice and information to potential and current donors. Our donors are integral to the work we do, from our research and campaigning through to our pioneering solution for people living with dementia. We are looking for someone focused on outstanding customers service who can adapt their approach to the diverse range of individuals we come into contact with. You might be currently working in Sales or Customer Service currently, looking for a rewarding role where your outcomes make a huge positive difference in the lives people affected by dementia, their friends, family and carers. We would love you to have previous fundraising or Trust experience, however we are much more interested in your values and behaviours so would offer development for the right individual.

About the role

You will be working closely with other colleagues in Fundraising (in particular; Supporter Impact, Reporting & Analysis, Operations, and Research & Influencing), manage new and existing relationships with Trusts and Foundations typically giving between £10,000 and £75,000 per annum. You will;

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (such Supporter Impact, Reporting & Analysis and Mid Value) to identify opportunities to apply for new funding.
  • Manage and build relationships with existing, new and potential donors.
  • Negotiating with integrity to maximise gifts from Trusts & Foundations, building good relationships with key Trust or Foundation staff.
  • Resolve day to day problems and demands of Trusts & Foundations, adapting approach to appropriately suit the audience.
  • Create and maintain effective and timely reporting to Trusts & Foundations, working closely with the Supporter Impact team.

  • Able to budget and financially manage projects.
  • A champion for the diverse needs of people affected by dementia.
  • Confident analysing financial information and present it in an accessible format
