Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. Until the day we find a cure, our mission is to change the landscape of dementia forever.
About the role
At Alzheimer’s Society, we are passionately committed to creating a dementia movement that inspires people to take action and unite against the UK’s biggest killer.
Have you got what it takes to build on our success so far in making dementia the issue of our time? Then we can promise you a stimulating and varied role in an award winning team in our busy national office in central London, helping to build a high impact, positive media profile for the charity and our fundraising and community engagement campaigns.
The successful candidate will spot proactive opportunities on a daily basis to drive fundraising and engage the public in our work. You will devise and execute creative, integrated campaigns, many of which involve our storytellers and our high-profile celebrity Ambassadors and supporters. Some of the campaigns you may be working on include our exciting flagship events Dementia Action Week, Memory Walk and Cupcake Day, promoting the fantastic work of our corporate partners and social action movements Dementia Friends and Dementia Friendly Communities and raising awareness of our vital services for people affected by dementia.
You will possess a great news sense and ability to think creatively to get cut through in the media and will be able to jump on and maximise opportunities. You must have an interest in working with consumer media and have experience of working with national press, planning large public-facing campaigns and the desire to work in a fast-paced team committed to making a difference.
Our employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives. We are proud to support them with a range of benefits, recognition and many options for working agilely, all contributing to a strong work life balance. We also have various learning programmes to support you in your development and help you grow to realise your potential and shape a career with Alzheimer's Society.
You can also visit our Working for Us pages, which give you more information about what it’s like to be an employee at the Society.
